2 INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Standard Account:
We collect your Name, Email Address, Street Address and Phone Number.

Leadership Account:
We collect your Name, Email Address, Street Address, Phone Number and Bank Details.

Newsletter Account:
We collect your Name and Email Address.

Staff:
We collect their Name, Email Address, Street Address, Phone Number, Identity Number (or Passport Number in the case of non-South African persons), Tax Number, UIF Number, and Bank Account details.

3 WHERE DO WE COLLECT THE INFORMATION
In all account categories listed in (2) the information that we collect is sourced directly from the data subjects. We do not source any information from third parties. All the information collected is required in order for the Company to fulfil its obligations to the data subjects. None of the information is optional.

4 PURPOSE FOR WHICH WE USE THE INFORMATION
Standard Account:
This information is required in order for you to purchase from our shop, without which we cannot process your order. We use your account information for billing and payment collection, shipping of goods, accounting, tax, shop administration and communication purposes. Should you not provide all the information required, we will not be able to fulfil your order. In this case, you will not be able to use our e-commerce platform.

Leadership Account:
We use your account information for billing and payment collection, shipping of goods, accounting, tax, shop administration and communication purposes, as well as to enable use to pay to the account holder leadership bonuses where required. Newsletter Account:
We use your account information to send you copies of our monthly newsletters, and occasionally other marketing material. Newsletters and marketing emails include an “Unsubscribe” link.

Staff:
This information is used for the administrative running of the Company, including paying wages and salaries, and tax payments. Should you not provide all the information required, we will not be able to fulfil our statutory obligations to the South African Revenue Services and the Department of Labour. This will result in us not being able to employ you.

In all the above cases, we may also use this information to enforce our legal rights.

5 STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS FOR COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We are required to produce VAT Invoices for each transaction, in terms of SARS statutory requirements. The purpose of this is for the Company to meet both its VAT and Excise Tax statutory obligations. The information we collect is used for these purposes.

Staff:
In terms of statutory legislation we are required to submit PAYE information on each staff member to SARS, as well as UIF information to the Department of Labour. We are also required to maintain certain information for the Department of Labour.

6 INFORMATION STORAGE
Netready, a company registered in the United States, and YMLP, a company registered in Belgium, are our service providers. These companies are recipients of the information. Information is stored on Netready and YMLP Servers located in the United Kingdom and Belgium. Both countries have substantially similar privacy legislation to South Africa.

7 SHARING OF INFORMATION
Delfini Solutions nor Acornkids will not sell or share your information with any company or person without your consent, unless required by law, or for operational purpose. Your information will be shared with our shipping providers, to ensure delivery of products. Your information may be shared with professional service providers, like accountants or legal practitioners, if required.

8 RETENTION OF INFORMATION
We retain the information as long as you use our products or services and for at least one year after your last order as required by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2005. Order details are kept for 5 years after tax submission as required by the Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011.

9 FINANCIAL INFORMATION
We do not have access to your financial information. This information is collected by our payment gateway (PayFast) and used for billing purposes.

10 WEBSITE USAGE INFORMATION
We may record how and when you use our website, products and services; your IP address; and YOUR cookie data throughout our website. This is collected automatically to limit the number of submissions you can make to our site, to protect our site from security threats, and to help us to improve user experience. it may be stored in Cookies on your computer. You may disable cookies in your browser but aspects of our website, products or services may stop working. It is also stored at our hosting provider (Netready) whose server is located in the UK (which has substantially similar privacy legislation to South Africa). We retain this information indefinitely.

Our website uses Google Analytics which is is a web analysis service provided by Google. Google automatically collects Cookie and website Usage Data and uses it to track and examine the use of www.acornkids.com, to prepare reports and share them with other Google services. Google does not associate your IP address with the usage information it collects. Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. Google is based in the US and uses EU Standard Contractual Clauses to transfer online advertising and measurement personal data out of the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland.
